Artist's Description
Enhanced macro photograph of reflected light, as well as refracted light, from a clear flowing stream. The soft red and pink lines are the refracted lines of alder tree roots growing into the stream from the stream banks. Alder tree roots are red because of their symbiotic relationship with nitrogen fixing bacteria.
Since clean, clear water is essential to all life, I try to feature it's unique beauty in a new and powerful way.
